Many of you are probably wondering Where is Stevenson?
Stevenson is a little town (less than 5 square miles of total area, population less than 2,000) in the upper right corner of Alabama, close to both the Georgia and Tennessee borders. The town itself may be small, but the people who work at the Stevenson Post Office are committed to providing first-rate service to all of their customers, no matter how remote or rural their residences may be.
Postmaster Georgia Hampton is very proud of her staff and their focus on making their customers happy. When asked to give an example, Georgia said, "That second week of January when we had the big snow storm, they made an outstanding effort. They all came to work, and their attitude was all about customer service and getting that mail home."

About the sense of comaraderie and teamwork at the Stevenson Post Office, Rural Carrier Mollie Davis (l) said, "Everybody is just like family. There's no tension here."
Rural Carrier Crystal Thomas (r) also discussed how much all of the carriers care about the customers on their routes. "We get attached to them; you really can't help it."
Rural Carrier Karen Jones (l) said, "We just have a very good office and postmaster."
In addition to their focus on their customers, the Stevenson staff also has an outstanding safety record, with just a couple of minor incidents reported in the last 6 years.
